New Tool Helps Educators Navigate AI Policy with Clarity

New Resource: AI Policy Guide for Educators

Navigating artificial intelligence in education can feel overwhelming—but a new tool is designed to make it easier to search, learn and create.

The AI Policy Guide for Educators is a free tool to help teachers, faculty, and administrators translate complex and evolving AI guidance into clear, practical policies. Whether you're developing a syllabus statement, revising academic integrity expectations, or addressing student use of AI tools, the guide provides tailored, ready-to-use support.

Users receive:

  • A brief overview of relevant federal and state guidance

  • Practical recommendations focused on privacy, equity, and academic integrity

  • Ready-to-use materials such as syllabus language, assignment guidance, and disclosure templates

The tool is designed with educator priorities in mind, including student privacy, responsible AI use, and accessibility across K–12 and higher education contexts. The AI Policy Guide is powered by a purpose-built AI assistant designed to help educators interpret and apply AI-related policies.

It does not replace institutional policy or professional judgment. Instead, it provides:

  • Structured guidance

  • Policy-informed recommendations

  • Ready-to-use language

All outputs should be reviewed and adapted to your specific context.

Importantly, the guide uses privacy-first design, collecting only limited, anonymized usage data and not storing personal or student information.

This tool provides informational guidance only and does not constitute legal advice. Policies are evolving and should be verified with institutional and official sources.
